This is the only page on any of my sites that you will ever see profanity. Nor will you ever see any pornography, racism or prejudice of any kind (unless its against stupidity). But right now I'm totally sick of hearing people get upset about stupid things. More and more I hear people ranting about things that not so long ago they would have simply turned away from if they did not like or agree with it. Take smoking...5 years ago most nonsmokers wouldnt have gotten upset if someone that smoked sat beside them in a resturant but today nonsmokers have become radical and even violent about it. This says one thing to me.... simply put the mass majority of people are not far above bovine intelligence and are just as easily led by the media and the government.
Now look at racism...the majority of those that rage against racism are themselves racists! I keep remebering an Original Star Trek episode where in Abraham Lincoln called Uhurah a pretty negress and then apologized. Uhurah replied 'Its all right Mr. President. In this century we have learned not to see words.'
When are you going to learn not to see words? I'm not saying that racism does not exist or that it isn't a horrendous crime against humanity. I'm not even saying that words dont hurt. I'm just saying that until we all learn to live together nothing will be accomplished. As long as we are divided against each other and savoring our wounds we dont stand a chance.
'A house divided against itself cannot stand.'
As for pornography and profanity...if you dont like it leave. No one is forcing you to stay and look or listen. If you don't want your children seeing or hearing it then protect them! Don't count on me or anyone else to do it for you...it's not our responsibility and I will not do it!
